NapaWink 3D Studio.

This is where ideas turn into little physical things. The 3D studio handles custom prints, small-batch runs, and experiments. Pricing is transparent and based on print time, material, and finishing—no surprise fees.

What the 3D studio is for.

You don't have to own a printer or know CAD to get something made. NapaWink can:

  • • Print from your STL or 3MF file.
  • • Help tune or adapt an existing model for real-world use.
  • • Design simple pieces from scratch (mounts, stands, labels, etc.).
  • • Run small batches for gifts, events, or your own shop.

The focus is on small-batch, high-touch projects—things where it still matters that a human is paying attention.

Quick examples

  • • A run of custom logo keychains for your small business.
  • • A stand for a device or tool that doesn't quite exist yet.
  • • Personalized name tags for a retreat or bridal party.
  • • Replacement or helper parts for organizing your space.

If you're not sure whether something is a good fit, send a message anyway and we'll figure it out together.

How pricing works.

Pricing is based on a simple, transparent formula. You pay for machine time, material, and any finishing or design work. That's it—no hidden “setup” fees.

Print time

$16 / hour (standard)

Charged for the hours the printer is actually running your piece. Billed in 15-minute increments, with a small minimum so tiny jobs still make sense.

Rush or complex materials may use a higher rate.

Material

$0.08 / gram (PLA)

Based on the weight of filament used for your part. Specialty filaments (like PETG, TPU, or carbon fiber) will be quoted at a different per-gram rate.

There's a small minimum material charge so micro parts are still viable.

Finishing & design

$30 / hr finishing · $45 / hr design

Finishing covers support removal, sanding, light assembly, and similar work. Design covers modeling or editing files for you.

Both are billed in small increments so simple jobs stay simple.

TL;DR formula

Total = (Print time × $16) + (Material grams × $0.08) + (Finishing time × $30) + (Optional design time × $45) + (Any agreed complexity or rush fee)

You'll see this breakdown when you get a quote, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

A few example projects & ballpark pricing.

Every model is different, but seeing a few rough examples helps set expectations. Exact quotes will always be based on your actual file, size, and finishing needs.

Example 1

Custom name keychain (one-off)

A small, single-color PLA keychain with a name or short word.

  • • ~20 min print time
  • • ~12 g of PLA
  • • Light cleanup

Ballpark: around $9–$12 for a single piece, depending on size and color.

Example 2

Desk stand or organizer

A medium-sized organizer for pens, tools, or a device.

  • • ~3–4 hours print time
  • • ~60–90 g of PLA
  • • Moderate cleanup / test fit

Ballpark: around $45–$80 per piece for one-off prints, with better pricing for multiple copies.

Example 3

Small batch of logo keychains (100 pcs)

A batch of branded keychains for a business, event, or team.

  • • Efficient multi-up printing
  • • Per-piece price lower than one-offs
  • • Optional design help for the logo shape

Ballpark: roughly $6 per piece at around 100 units, depending on complexity and finishing.

These are just rough examples. The actual quote will depend on the model, material, and finishing details—those will always be shared clearly before anything is printed.
